School of Rock is a musical about redemption, second chances, and the power of music to change lives.  This upbeat and exuberant show was the season finale for Porthouse's Summer 2025 season.

Visually, there were two clear-cut worlds for the costumes to establish in School of Rock.  There was the clean, polished world of Horace Green Academy, and there was the grungy, rugged world of rock.  I chose distinct textures and colors to divide these worlds, and then blended them for the students' Battle of the Bands finale.

The school uniforms for Horace Green were a study in variations on a theme.  I wanted each student to have an individual interpretation of the school uniform, while still staying within the uniform code I established.  This added visual variety among the students, with the intent of helping audience members distinguish them from one another.
